About Chris Faust

Submerged in a plethora of lifestyles in Brooklyn, N.Y, Hip-Hop songwriter/emcee, “Chris Faust” has roots in neighborhoods such as Marcy Projects, Park Slope, Fort Green, Brooklyn Heights and Bushwick. Chris Faust, (born Christian Peterson-Faust) developed his truly wonderful lyrical talent working full time shifts, keeping a steady grasp on reality while living within the New York City criminal element as well as attending Brooklyn College as an honor student, solidifying a degree in education. Despite these challenges, Chris Faust gained a distinct directive to become the best at anything he decided to put his mind to. In 2002, he chose to gear his mind towards music and took his talent to the next level, with constructing the band, “GOOD DAY, GOOD NIGHT”. As lead songwriter/emcee, Chris Faust and his band has woven a distinct pattern of Brooklyn based imagery through poetic street lyrics, epically composed instrumentation as well as creative and metaphorical flows. Showing immediate strong potential as a burgeoning emcee, Faust’s music career in Hip-Hop began at the age of seventeen, performing at local cafes and lounges around Brooklyn. The dues paid on the NYC gig circuit definitely paid off for him and he got his first break at Virginia State University in 2006, where he opened up for “Young Jeezy” and “Juelz Santana.” Realizing that making music was a reality that crossed borders, Chris Faust began aggressively pursuing more musical movements with GOOD DAY, GOOD NIGHT. With the support of his Production Managers, Chris Faust was able to travel the world and perform for thousands of people. He honed his craft opening up numerous concerts for acts like Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Ghostface Killah, Akon, Keisha Cole, as well as many others. Those experiences gave him the edge he needed in order to take his talent to a more professional level. With this new fusion of deft wordplay, slick Brooklyn imagery and introspective lyrics over live music, Chris Faust, backed by his band GOOD DAY, GOOD NIGHT is setting the standard for new Hip-Hop. Performing at venues from the “2006 Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival”, Out of State Colleges, opening up for other established musicians and across seas, Chris Faust has acquired a healthy resume worthy of notoriety. Chris Faust recently just finished a three part EP series called VILLAIN and is now working on his second LP, “EIGHT”, which is scheduled to be released Summer of 2012, as well a few other note-worthy endeavors.
